Introduction of the speakers

İdil Gaziulusoy is a sustainability scientist and a design researcher. She is a Associate Professor of Sustainable Design at the Department of Design, Aalto University, Design and Architecture, and the leader of NODUS Sustainable Design Research Group in the Department of Design. Her research focuses on transformative sustainability innovations and sustainability transitions in urban and business contexts. She collaborates with several businesses, such as Hitachi, in helping them to build sustainable businesses. 

Duncan Brown is the Lead Design Strategist and Futurist in the DesignLab at Hitachi's European R&D, applying generative AI and synths for transition design and regenerative futures. He is a Fellow of the RSA and The Lunar Society. Operating at the intersection of design and strategy. He has over 30 years of experience across research-driven human insight, digital strategy, and product design, spanning a variety of industries for both early-stage startups and global enterprises.
