Join us for a conversation between the Forbes 50 Female Futurist Sari Stenfors and the renowned philosopher Frank Martela to explore questions such as: How can we build meaningful futures in organizations in the age of transitions and radical changes? What does the human side of leadership look like in the future, and can AI ever replace human leadership? With leadership roles becoming increasingly complex, how can leaders themselves find meaning and fulfillment in their work?

Frank Martela, Philosopher, Assistant Professor at Aalto University

Frank is a cross-disciplinary researcher with PhD’s in both philosophy and organizational research. He is the author of the book A Wonderful Life and has spoken to audiences worldwide, with invited lectures in universities including Stanford and Harvard. He has been interviewed for the New York Times, CNN, and Le Monde, among many others, and his articles have appeared in publications such as Scientific American Mind and Harvard Business Review. Frank specializes in the question of meaning in life: his own is a quest to understand what to do, value, and aim for in the unfolding experience called human life. He investigates the fundamentals of happiness, meaningfulness, basic human needs, and a good life to deliver insights that can help each of us live a slightly better and more self-chosen life.

Sari Stenfors, Strategist and Forbes 50 Female Futurist

Sari is the Executive Director of Augmented Leadership Institute, a California think tank. She holds a PhD in Business Technology and works on various research projects with Stanford University and other international universities. For the last three decades, she has been conducting anthropological studies in imaginary cyborg colonies of the future. In her pursuit of reimagining our society, she is also a social entrepreneur with three exits and an IPO, an impact investor, and a board member for several start-ups with societal impact. Sari is passionate about co-creating hopeful futures and believes that we can use emerging technologies to create change for happier lives and more effective and fulfilling organizational behavior.
