This year, the Aalto EMBA ranked 93rd globally in the FT EMBA ranking, while in 2020 its position was 88.
According to Dr. Pekka Mattila, the Group Managing Director of Aalto University Executive Education and Professor of Practice at Aalto University School of Business, "The Financial Times Executive MBA assessment is one of the many quality indicators we monitor. The volatility of rankings has increased in recent years, and several organizations are added on and leave the list every year. As a compass for long-term development work, we primarily use the criteria for Triple Crown accreditations."
The customer satisfaction of the Aalto EMBA program was the highest in the Nordics and among the best ones in the world also in 2020. “Everything in this program was delivered with premium quality and great attention to detail from the world-class teaching to the outstanding customer service. The two-year program provides an exceptional experience, and I am pleased to recommend it,” says Mina Massoud, Senior Client Director at Gartner and alumnus of the program.
The FT EMBA ranking consists of 15 criteria, the weightings of which vary from year to year. Especially the salary development of Aalto EMBA graduates is high compared to graduates from equivalent programs. The relative number of international participants also increased from the previous comparison, which was one factor that had a positive influence on Aalto EMBA's ranking. The effectiveness of the Aalto EMBA program is also indicated by the high graduation rate, which is as high as 98 percent.
The FT EMBA ranking is based on both the information provided directly by the alumni to the Financial Times and the statistical data produced by the universities. The respondents in the comparison are always graduates of that Executive MBA program three years ago.
This year, the top programs in the FT EMBA ranking were the EMBA programs of HEC Paris in France, Kellogg in the United States and HKUST Business School in Hong Kong, and Ceibs which operates in China, Switzerland, and Ghana.
Aalto University Executive Education (Aalto EE) is among the world's 50 best performing organizations in FT's Executive Education ranking, which was last published in spring 2020.
Update on October 26, 2021, at 10:30 a.m.: A correction regarding Aalto EMBA's ranking in overall customer satisfaction globally has been made in the press release.
