Gunther Kuse has received the 2025 MBA scholarship covering participation and materials for the Aalto MBA program. Kuse is passionate about empowering youth through game-based learning, helping them grow into responsible global digital citizens.
"We help children build their self-esteem, develop emotional intelligence, and sharpen critical thinking and responsibility," Kuse explains.
As a leader, Kuse doesn’t believe in strong hierarchies. Through the Aalto MBA program, he looks forward to further developing his leadership abilities, particularly in people management and sustainable business practices.
"I’m excited to learn from Finnish leaders and decision-makers while addressing areas of personal growth like patience and people management. Additionally, I plan to integrate sustainability into the School of Gaming's mission, furthering our positive social impact," says Kuse who is originally from Nicaragua.
Kuse’s studies will begin in January 2025.
The MBA scholarship application is arranged in collaboration with koulutus.fi. This year’s application window ran from April 23 to June 16, 2024. After rigorous screening, two finalists were selected for interviews, with Kuse ultimately being chosen as the recipient.
The scholarship committee included Reetta Ruusunen, Business Area Director for Programs and Learning Solutions at Aalto EE; Kerttu Kuokkanen, Director of MBA Programs at Aalto EE; Anne Nylund, Senior Program Director of the Aalto MBA; David Derichs, Senior University Lecturer at Aalto University School of Business; Max Lundberg, CEO of koulutus.fi; and Emma Niemi, Communications Manager at koulutus.fi.
