Procurement has a crucial role in increasing revenue through an external resource network. However, the way in which external resources are managed, utilized, and developed is key to growth and profitability. Treating the supplier network as an external resource has a broad impact on the policies and practices of the different functions of the company, improving both internal and external collaboration.
Hankintojen johtaminen (Procurement Management) program gives a comprehensive overview of strategic and effective procurement management. After the program, you will be equipped to develop strategic sourcing and increase the role of sourcing in business success. You will deepen your understanding of sourcing and category strategies, supplier market knowledge, supplier relationship management, and process development, among others. You'll also learn how to take development initiatives forward.
The content has been chosen to best support organizations that are ready to improve the role of procurement to better support business objectives, utilizing external resources and understanding the whole.
4.5 ECTS credits can be transferred from this program to the Aalto Executive MBA or the Aalto MBA program.

The program is designed for experienced procurement, category, and purchasing managers, those working in strategic or specialist procurement roles, or those transitioning to these challenging positions.

Contents and Schedule
The program consists of six study modules (10 days), two online courses that the participants will complete independently, and a variety of assignments to deepen learning.
During the modules, the themes are introduced by the instructors, and you will work with other participants on practical challenges using a variety of methods and tools.
