Leading Change and Transformation
Leading Change and Transformation is a three-day module in the Global Leader program and can also be taken as a stand-alone program.
In today’s times of change, the most effective leaders approach change as an opportunity to learn and grow as individuals, teams, and organizations. They deal effectively with both the structural side of change and the human side of leading transition. They realize that creating a successful future may require new mindsets and skill sets, and they may need to let go of practices that no longer serve their purpose.
The Leading Change and Transformation program focuses on developing awareness and skills in how to lead and coach yourself, your team, and your organization through change. Numerous tools are introduced and practiced, enabling you to lead and implement change with confidence in your place of work.
4.5 ECTS credits can be transferred from the Leading Change and Transformation program to the Aalto Executive MBA or Aalto MBA program.

Benefits
The Leading Change and Transformation program is very hands-on, and both action and reflection based. During the program, you will investigate yourself as an individual and a leader, and gradually widen your view and shift your focus on leading teams and organizations through change.

For
The Leading Change and Transformation program is designed for experienced managers and business leaders who need leadership skills in managing change across functions in a global context.
It is also relevant for seasoned experts who aspire to build competencies and confidence in making strategic decisions.
Contents and Schedule
Leading Change and Transformation is a three-day program and it contains a written pre-assignment and a take-home assignment. The program is worth 4.5 ECTS credits.

Pre-module period of 2–3 weeks
Individual preparation

Three-day module
Intensive contact learning session with instructor and peers

Post-module period
Take-home assignment
During the program, you will learn about the difference between change and transition and what it takes to maintain a balance between these from a leadership perspective. Participants will learn about their individual and behavioral preferences regarding change, and how these impact their response to change and overall approach to leading change. You will develop skills in how to lead and coach yourself and others through change more effectively.
The training places a strong emphasis on a variety of hands-on exercises that are done in small groups and as a whole group. By observing the instructor’s facilitation methods, participants receive, as a byproduct of the training, skills on how to facilitate group exercises related to change management in their own organization.
