Vaikuttava tuotejohtaminen

Product management plays an important role in the success of a business. It is the product manager’s responsibility to understand the needs and objectives of customers as well as what solutions can be effectively created to satisfy them, taking into account the organization’s profitability and competitors.

Identifying the opportunities of the business and the needs of customers are separate roles, challenges, and jobs, however. In addition, the industry and competitors’ products can change very quickly, as can customers’ needs and objectives. That is why product management requires constant coordination between the opportunities of the business and the customers’ objectives, as well as the ability to adapt to changes in needs, competition, and technology.

Vaikuttava tuotejohtaminen is a training program that gives the participants a comprehensive view of impactful and effective product management as well as product management strategy, development, and organization.

The program, which provides research-based theory and concrete tools for user-driven and cost-effective product management, answers questions such as:

  • How can user and customer data be identified and utilized to develop product ideas?
  • How can user-centric development and experimentation processes be implemented and evaluated?
  • How can one formulate an effective product strategy that supports the achievement of business goals?
  • How can product management teams be effectively organized while factoring in organizational structures and objectives?

Please note that this program is held in Finnish.

Contents and Schedule

The program consists of four days of contact learning and covers product management through four themes: user-driven design, development, strategy, and organization. The program is structured around the product management workflow—from user data and the organization’s resources to the principles of product development and progress metrics, which are derived from the company’s strategy and organizational structure.

In addition to providing a theoretical insight into product management, the program includes interactive group exercises and discussions, which are designed to help the participants improve the internal procedures of their respective organizations. The instructor will also give the participants individual tasks, which test the participants’ ability to launch and coordinate product management projects within their respective organizations using concrete tools.
